It is with deep concern that the ADT - Animal Disaster Team shares the harrowing details of a recent intervention in Kampenhout, in response to an urgent appeal from Flemish animal welfare. The sad reality is stark: more than 60 animals, including some 20 goats and billy goats, 20 ducks, as well as chickens and geese, were discovered in deplorable conditions, abandoned in a meadow overgrown with mud and excrement.

The critical situation, marked by the extreme emaciation of the animals and the presence of corpses on the premises, immediately prompted an alert from the Flemish Animal Welfare Unit. In response to this desperate call, our team was called in for a vital intervention.

Dedicated ADT teams were promptly deployed to implement the rescue. Our mission was clear: evacuate all the animals from this unsanitary environment and transfer them to a safe haven.

Thanks to the sustained efforts of ADT, these animals have been rescued from inhumane living conditions. Now safe, these animals have been taken to a shelter where they will receive the care they need to recover from their precarious condition.
