ADT INTERVENES FOR A FOX TRAPPED IN A NECK SNARE
Last weekend, an awful situation mobilized the Animal Disaster Team in Ciplet, highlighting the distress of a fox trapped.
When they arrived at the scene, our teams were faced with a shocking situation: a fox, visibly weakened, stuck in a neck snare. For those who do not know, neck snares are cruel devices and illegal in Wallonia.
Despite all efforts to rescue him, the fox, unfortunately, did not survive after his transfer to the Andenne CREAVES.
This sad intervention highlights the unimaginable suffering inflicted on animals trapped in these traps. They endure atrocious pain and are often condemned to slow and cruel agony before succumbing. Moreover, these traps are non-selective.
The ADT team has been working tirelessly to rescue trapped animals, but it is equally important to raise awareness of the devastating consequences of these inhuman practices.
