In an emergency response, the Animal Disaster Team (ADT) answered a call in Chastre, joining forces with other associations to save over 300 abused animals. Dogs, cats, donkeys, ponies, chickens and birds were all victims of neglect, living in inhuman conditions. The team of ADT volunteers made heroic efforts for over 12 hours to ensure the complete rescue of these animals, although the scene was marked by the tragic discovery of several corpses.

When we arrived, our team was confronted with a chaotic scene, bearing witness to the cruel abandonment these animals had suffered. The inhuman conditions in which they lived motivated the volunteers to act with determination.

Faced with the emergency, ADT mobilized its volunteers and all its available resources. Dogs, cats, donkeys, ponies, chickens and birds were evacuated to various shelters where they will receive the necessary care. Sadly, many animals did not survive the deplorable conditions in which they were kept, leaving a painful reminder of the need for swift action in such cases.

This massive rescue would not have been possible without ADT's close collaboration with other associations. Unity of action enabled a rapid and effective response, highlighting the crucial importance of cooperation between animal protection organizations.

This tragic incident underlines the urgent need to raise public awareness of our collective responsibility towards animals. Animal neglect persists in many communities, and it's imperative that everyone plays an active role in animal protection and welfare.
